Relationship
We value building and maintaining relationships with our clients, suppliers and subbies. We pride ourselves on repeat business, and although Waiheke has diversified immensely over recent years, a tight network of contractors (“the tradies”) remains. In larger communities, where there are many suppliers competing for business, the importance of relationship is not so significant. Social credit built on established relationships still goes a long way on Waiheke, and the Davies family have deep roots here.
Sustainability
We build to last. This means doing the job right and using the correct materials for the job. This means that your investment will continue to look good and serve its purpose for years to come. If you are looking for a cowboy to do a cheap fix with no regard to the future, we suggest you look elsewhere.
Fairness
We believe in fair pricing. While there is a tradition in New Zealand of quoting for building work, we prefer not to gamble with your investment. In order to quote builders must factor in costs for worst-case scenarios that may never eventuate. Having been in the industry on Waiheke for over 20 years we can give you a good idea of the labour hours and materials required for your job. Estimating also gives you flexibility as the project progresses.
